I burned through these last week. Having grown up listening Dre and generally following his career it was fun to get more behind the scenes into his process and decisions. I loved seeing him rock out to Nirvana in the first episode and later playing the piano. Shows how diverse his music inspiration really is.
Jimmy Ionvine is one of those guys I've always heard of but never knew a lot about. It's crazy to think that someone that cut his teeth working with John Lennon and Bruce Springsteen would end up forming a life long bond with someone like Dr Dre.
Also, I read a book a while back called "how music got free" which dove pretty deep into the music industry including Robert Morris' career. Including him in this documentary was nice. Having the background on him from the book was helpful to understanding why he was so pivotal.
