I can't remember the last game she was at when they showed her on TV but she didn't look good at all. May have been the Georgia game for senior night but can't remember for sure. I'm thinking it was the home game before senior night but not sure. Truly sad to read about her in this way!

In her prime, she could have been the best football coach in the country, but she settled for her passion basketball.

She could have made Al Wilson shutter!

I miss Pat so much, she was the reason I decided to coach female basketball and softball. I feel in lov with Volunteer basketball around 1979 and have loved them every since. The women had a real champion in Pat. She made me proud to tell others that I coached female athletes. There will never be another Coach Summitt. We miss Pat the game misses Pat, and that will never change. Our prayers are with you Pat.

In the midst of battling a heartbreaking disease, Pat still manages to inspire others. She is truly amazing.

And yet so many posters on this board claimed Pat was still involved with the team on a daily basis.

Sadly anybody that knows anybody running around Knoxville on a daily basis knew this wasn't so. They just chose to not broadcast it with a bull horn. Alzheimer's is a m-fer

Is it just me or did the writer use Pat as click bait and then heap scorn on UT for the allegations? I quit reading about halfway through the article, he's just casting aspersions and pretending it's reporting (par for the course these days), and throwing in some sad news about Pat to keep the reader on the page.

What else were you expecting from a person who makes their income generating interest? Stereotypical journalism is pretty high up the fraud list in the USA.
