King Size Direct .com says different when I order! But I do blame local retailers, walk in almost any shoe store and ask for a size 16-6E shoe and see what they tell you!

Emanuel, a bioethicist at the American National Institutes of Health, explained that itÂ’s not just energy costs, but also infrastructure.

“People have had to change, ah you know, the size of doorways, the size of chairs on airplanes and at sports stadiums,” Emanuel said. “So there’s a lot of hidden costs as well to the increasing girth of Americans.”

This guy was in the ballpark, but still doesn't know what game he's playing. First off, why is this commie whining about the private sector having to spend more money for wider airline seats and for wider doorways???

If only he would have said something about the cost of obesity on our health care system or entitlement programs, he may have actually shown that he was thinking. But with this hand wringing about spending more for bigger cars or using more gasoline or this other foolishness, he comes close to making a valid point, but misses it by a mile at the same time.

Yes, there's nothing wrong with being obese. Eat up! The fatter we are as a nation, the better.

But, but, but some people can't help it. They eat to live and live to eat...it's a vicious cycle...so, I farted...

I've seen some people that look like they eat enough to single-handedly keep McDonald's afloat.

I understand some people legitimately can't help it because of genetics or what not, but I never understood people who could be more healthy but aren't. It's certainly not my place to ridicule and it is a free country...but what is so wrong with taking a walk once in awhile or eating a salad instead of McDonald's? Being healthy is mostly a choice, I just don't get people that don't even try.

Soon there will be a government master list of what adds cost and what subtracts costs. People will be taxed or entitled accordingly. Dr. Emanuel will tell us how we should be and the government will enforce it.

Which will drive the drug dealers out and the Twinkie/Fast Food dealers will take over the street corners.
