Bryce Young won it because nobody else really deserved it. Who else would you give it to? Nobody really stood out or separated themselves this year.

On a separate note, there should be some sort of restriction for the networks’ media members. It just seems like bad optics for ESPN to have a business partnership with the SEC and yet their media members are allowed to vote for players from that conference. Same for FOX media members and the Big10. They call that a conflict of interests in the real world.

I turned in long enough to see the players come out and get introduced. When I saw Stroud dressed like a rapper I was like yep this is not an amateur award anymore. Not that I disagree with NIL. But you have spending habits like all that excessive bling I dont see you as an amateur.

Agree. If I remember correctly he won simply because Bama beat Florida in the SEC title game. IMO Mr. Tebow deserved his second Hypesman.

Tebow deserved it more in 2008. He finished 5th in the voting in 2009, and was closer to 10th than he was to 4th.

The 2009 Heisman was stolen from Ndamukong Suh. He was by far the best player in college football that year.

I think Bradford deserves it that year over Tebow but I agree with the premise. 2009 Tebow wasn’t as good without Percy Harvin.

I would have voted for Will Anderson but I get it. Young was so good against Georgia it makes sense. It’s not anywhere a travesty as the 2003 and 2009 finishes were though.
