Why is CJ Spiller not considered for the heisman? He is a clear cut better player then Ingram. And I really don't care so much because the heisman is a beauty contest. But I watched Ingram and Spiller play last night, and I or any NFL GM would take Spiller over Ingram anyday.

Spiller is a senior and Mark Ingram is a Soph. Give Ingram 2 more years and he is going to be a monster!

Has to make a UT fan feel good about our future as well.

Considering what we took to Bama this year for talent, and depth, and gave up 4 FGs.
For the overall talent differential on the field, we got beat by a better FG kicker.

Well Cody's monstrous man boobs had something to do with that loss too!

Richardson's performance indicates that the scheme and O-line have a major role in Ingram's success.

Ingram is good - very good but I don't think Heisman when I see him play.

Ndamukong Suh is the best player in college football.

I do not disagree but was only looking at who is the best RB/QB in football. The heisman is a beauty contest that lineman rarely if ever win. Has a lineman ever won the award? Woodson is the only exception to the RB/QB rule I know.

Last time I remember one even being a finalist was Orlando Pace.

A few WR's were also exceptions.

Desmond Howard, Tim Brown Johnny Rodgers-WR

Lean Hart 49, Larry Kelly 36-DE

In near 80 years that is it did the research

CJ Spiller is a finalist... according to the Heisman commercials on ESPN.

there's a disclaimer at the bottom of the commercial that says something like "Players subject to change". No way they know yet

That is true, but he is getting more recognition than the op realized.

Spiller's Heisman chances died with Clemson losing the ACC Championship game imo.

They lost but not because of him...lol so he breaks records and has the game of his life on a bad foot and his hopes died? Damn...I would hate to see what you have to do to win it then.

This year there has not been one guy in particular that stands out from the rest IMO. It seems like a toss up between McCoy, Spiller, Ingram and maybe Tebow although I think Tebow probably played his way out of it against Alabama.
