Incorrect. Nitrous actually causes your voice to drop.

For one thing Helium is too light to infuse into a liquid.

For another, when you inhale Helium your voice only changes for a few seconds, basically until your lungs are emptied, where as this goes on for a couple of minutes.

Inhaling Helium is very dangerous. In fact, inhaling any compressed gas without a MD involved is not safe and could be deadly.

In this case though it's not being inhaled it's being ingested, or allegedly ingested.
