Like the VolNation scorned. Sheesh...are many of you married? Serious relationships?

How do your significant others deal with you when you get like this?

It's like Tee Martin simultaneously dumped 1,000 people, and they're all screaming "good riddance!" and "please don't go!" at the same time.

Yep, married. How does my wife deal with me when I'm on volnation? Easy. She's usually on pinterest.

I've learned the fine art of posting while looking at my wife and nodding in agreement to whatever she's saying.

My wife is just as hooked on Volnation / twitter as I am lately. How I deal with her should be the question. :) This coaching search had her online more than anytime I can remember.

I'm not posting "about Tee", I'm posting because I'm blown away by the knee-jerk responses to the news today. Not sure if our fanbase is borderline emotionally unstable, just need to get laid, or both...while watching Tennessee simultaneously defeat Florida, Georgia, and Alabama

don't forget to occasionally look at the floor and nod as it shows you ain't just staring at her and letting it go in one ear and out the other, a valuable tip i learned from tim allen growing up.

Were we supposed to be upset Tee did not come to coach here? I wish you all would make up your mind. Tee did not want to be here and I have seen POST after POST after POST that Butch Jones is a great coach and will be successful because HE WANTS TO BE HERE...so why would we care if someone who doesn't want to be here doesn't come to coach here? I can't keep up with all this fickleness.

Glad I'm not alone. Gets annoying though. I'm sittin here minding my own business, reading about the meltdown of Volnation concerning the latest conundrum to curse us, and I keep getting interrupted to view the coolest, newest awesomest chic crap the world has to offer.

Honestly, how many awesome ways can there be to decorate a damn closet or bake a freakin pumpkin pie?

Edit: Note to all, don't let your wife see your posts when dissing her. Also, there's a cool new pig pot lid on Pinterest. Will be the biggest rage this Christmas.

I was not prepared for the negative reaction of Tee staying at USC either. After today there is no question in my mind that a good portion of our fanbase is indeed emotionally unstable. The things that have been said about the man on here are just disturbing. It has been said before, but bears repeating, he owed us nothing.

The whole point of an institution, like the University of Tennessee, is to prepare graduates to go on and do bigger and better things. When a young man comes to play football and goes pro, the point was to obtain some tools suitable to reach a higher level. When a student graduates and goes on to work in the professional world, the point was to obtain some tools suitable to reach a higher level.

Some people on here act like someone isn't a "Vol" unless upon graduation their highest aspiration must be to work for that very institution.

So many have lost sight of what wearing that Orange really means. It is the symbol of the Volunteer; the spirit, the class and the character. Wearing the colors or buying season tickets or having a twitter handle will not make you a Volunteer simply by association. I guess that is ultimately the difference between a fan and a Vol. A Vol, even someone who has never set foot on the campus, understands the bigger picture. A fan thinks that everything should be sacrificed to win on the gridiron so that they can simply associate with a winner.

My question, or challenge, to Volnation is to ask yourself: Are you just a fan or are you a Volunteer?

Folks I was disapointed like everyone else that Tee did not come to UT and coach. I would like us all to start thinking about the coaches that we do have that are out on the road right now recruiting there tails off for our beloved University of Tennessee. Lets start talking about them and forget about what has happened in the last 24hrs. We cant change what happened in the past, but we can help with what could happen in the future. Lets really get behind Coach Jones and his staff and help them get a good 2013 class.
