Need help with posting or have a question about a board feature? Post it here and someone who knows the answer will help you out.

Yes, I am not sure how you add all the pictures and names to the left that are connected to your screen name? How do the clickable smilies get on the board? If the answers take too long, don't bother...I will try to figure it out.
Thanks

For the picture to the left (an Avatar) - go to My Controls at the top of the page and then click on Avatar settings on the left side of the page.

To add smilies - just put your cursor wherever you want the smiley and then click the appropriate smiley that you want. For instance, LIO has a habit of stopping in mid-sentence to inject a :biteme:

for all newbies.... we have had countless threads bashing RS, CPF, and all the Clausens so instead of posting a new one check out the archives and just add to the existing one OK... thanks and welcome aboard!

AMEN!!

Also, take 5 seconds to actually read what you're posting to make sure it doesn't sound like a script from Deliverance before you click on Add Reply.

On that note, we are also working on countless threads bashing newbies who come here to bash RS, CPF, and all the Clausens -- so, save yourself the effort and head to Gatorzone.com or Tidefans.com instead. Another plus: your spelling and grammar won't matter there, for sure.

Obviously not. You misspelled "grammar"

:dlol:

And I am NOT obsessed!! Everyone should be capable of posting a coherent thought. We're not kindergartners, after all.

I don't mind the occasional misspelled words, but some keep doing it over and over and by some I mean one. So here is my little guide to spelling.

aginst = against
commentment = commitment
deffeintly = definitely
remeber = remember
eliagable = eligible
recive = receive
embarresed = embarrassed
belive = believe
due = do

THERE is the house.
I am going over to THEIR house.

I don't KNOW.
NO, I don't.

Hope this helps! :thumbsup:

What exactly is flaming, spamming, and all the other lingo for bad manners on a message board? I don't keep up to date on the latest ways of message board communication and always wondered about this terminology that is mentioned from time to time.

Thanks!

Flaming-has a variety of definitions, but here on the internet, it more or less means insulting or berading another poster or group of posters.

Spamming is shamelessly advertising, much like the junk you get in your email. I saw someone else say that it also meant a large thread with no real information provided, but I have never heard that one before.
