The same thing happened the last time Qualifying was rained out. I am confused. I just remember Bill Elliott started in the top 20 last time there was a rain out. No idea

oh...duhhhhhhh.

the 01 is tenth in owner points. the order after a rainout goes by owner, not driver points. i guess i didn't realize they were that high.

It looks like Smith may end up getting a full-time ride with DEI. Now that Kyle Busch is headed to Gibbs, the only other commodoties I see DEI really going for would be Yeley and Regan Smith. I think Yeley will end up driving the Wood Bros. #21 next year so, that would leave Smith to drive the #8, or whatever car number they have, and leave Almirola splitting time with Martin until he leaves.

What about John Wood? Wasn't he supposed to start driving for the Wood Brothers some this year and then run full time next year?

I heard that they were wanting Mark Martin to drive the #8 car next year to kind of mentor Truex, and when Mark retires Truex would drive that car, don't know if that makes me sound crazy or not but I'm pretty sure I heard something like that, may be no truth to it, just throwing that out there

It is logical to put Martin/Almirola in the 8 car and let those guys split time in that car if they want Truex to eventually be in that car. By then, they could put Almirola in the 1 car.. that's all speculation, who knows what they're doing over there.

Anyone think its possible that if Kyle Busch somehow slides out of the chase and isn't replace by Dale Jr. and Ryan Newman makes it instead, that Busch will go to the 18car for the Final 10 and Dale Jr. to the 5 car, could we see that earlier than expected?? I think that's too far fetched but crazier things have happened

while certainly possibly, i just don't see Kyle not making the Chase.

He's what right now, 9th or 10th??? It's possible with some bad luck, I think Jr. dug himself too big of a rut to make it now.....I mean I personally don't care, I want him to make but if not big deal, I'm looking forward to next year....Kyle will more than likely make it, but who knows...I just don't think Jr. will make it right now, Kurt has momentum on his side while Jr. is lucky if he finishes a race right now

i think there will be some other driver changes before the end of the year though.

Yeah, Biffle is going to have to leave Roush sometime. When does the 4 car limit rule come into effect? Next year

I kind of left it open for discussion. But I guess Biffles going to be out at Roush at the end of the year. He's already mad there and wants out.

The Biff, who by the way has the stupidest nickname in all of racing (seriously? The Biff?), is under contract through next year and there has been virtually nothing said about him.
