They say trump paid money to stop a story or a pornstar from talking. How is that illegal, trump did not do any blackmailing but he paid the blackmailers.

I did not think it was illegal to pay blackmailers
It's not illegal. He used his own money to keep them quiet. This made up outrage is just their next attempt to oust him.

We're into completely uncharted territory now, it's perfectly ok to pay someone to keep them from sharing disparaging information about you UNLESS you are running for office.
I don't think it's a good thing but I would bet he has paid many many people in his lifetime to keep quiet about something. And it's not our business and damn sure not illegal.

Does anyone think these dems would care about this story if the person were not named Donald Trump?

Companies and even wealthy individuals pay off people everyday to keep their mouths shut about disparaging information. All legal and even condoned by the courts. What's the difference between XYZ incorporated paying off an employee for a NDA so they don't share info and affect your stock price and a politician paying off a hooker so she doesn't affect his candidacy?

One of the parties mentioned above hurts their poor little feelings, the other one doesn't

LOL. This is what the Republican party has been reduced to when discussing the president.

And it's going to get worse
It's because everyone with any common sense realizes they all have done it.... and will continue to do it.....while less than moral there's nothing you can do about it so wgaf at this point?
He's still a better option than histoplasmosis Hillary ....

I think this is more accurate.

And as someone pointed out earlier today, there is the matter of the congressional slush fund to pay off women who claim to be victims.

I did not think it was illegal to pay blackmailers

Helping you understand with a simple Google search:

Prosecutors have alleged the $130,000 payment Cohen made to Clifford, who is known as Stormy Daniels, was illegal because it exceeded the $2,700 limit on campaign contributions by individual donors.

The $150,000 payment to McDougal, which Cohen arranged but was made by the National Enquirer parent company American Media Inc., broke the law that bans corporations from contributing directly to campaigns. American Media Inc. on Wednesday entered into a separate plea agreement for its role in the alleged crime.

The payments were also not reported on the Trump campaign's financial disclosure forms.

Cohen has testified that Trump knew about the payments beforehand and that they were made for the purpose of influencing the election.

"Assuming [Cohen] is credible, and there may be corroborating evidence, then you have a very strong case," said Larry Noble, a former general counsel for the Federal Election Commission.

Stormy was running for office and somehow Trump was accountable for her??? There's some really twisted logic there, that only a damn lawyer could manage.

And the former head of the federal elections commission says the prosecutors are wrong. The damn guys that regulate campaign finance says these payments do not violate campaign finance laws.
