I’m seeing projected rankings come out from many places either keeping the Vols at 11 or at best bumping us to 10. Why? After we best 7. Cmon now.

I’m guessing 10 or 9. We may, MAY jump undefeated Iowa State (but I doubt it), otherwise Bama falls out of top ten and everyone moves up a notch.

This is exactly why it does matter in college football if “you win by an inch or a mile”. Some folks have no clue with their “winning is winning” mindset. I’ll take the wins, but we need a couple of blowouts against quality opponents in our favor to look good.

I could see anywhere from 6-8 in both the coaches and AP poll later today. We'll move up some during the bye week too.
We should be top 5 headed to Athens after wins over Kentucky and Mississippi State.

From 11 to 10, that’s all until the offense starts clicking on all cylinders.

I’m an idiot. Didn’t think they would jump is over Clemson and the others. #7 in AP. Good ole SEC strength of schedule

I think we jump ISU......refs bailed them out with a 4th down penalty against UCF. 🫰

Idk......Florida pistol whipped Kentucky (3-4 now)........think their wheels are coming off. But I hope you're right.

I agree......just win out and it won't be an issue. The wash will take care of it.

The only 2 teams ranked above us that lost were Texas who is not going to drop from 1 out of the top 10 and Bama who will.

By this logic we should move to 10.

I don't get the problem?

This is the part of college that I hate most of the time. The Big 12 and ACC are bush league. Notre Dame gets to load up on cupcakes and will not be penalized at all by losing to NIL. Miami is playing with fire every week against teams that are not any where close to the top of the talent index. Clempson isn’t really facing murderers row either.

I hate to say it but the NFL is much better because wins and losses are absolute. None of this beauty contest bull crap. Some divisions are harder than others but they have the wildcard weekend to help.

We just beat the team that has the highest talent index in history but we will probably only stay at 10 because we didn’t earn enough style points and are carrying a single loss to a mid SEC team while half the league can load up on cupcakes.
