I hope somebody from Volnation can please help guide me.

I have been subscribing to ESPN Player which has given me wonderful access to all the Tennessee Football, Basketball and Baseball matches. I now have found out that they are closing in two days time (its feels like somebody has stolen my lunch).

Is there an alternative LEGAL platform that I can subscribe to to replace ESPN Player and get access to all the Tennessee matches? I have looked at a few options but it always asks for my ZIP Code when I try to pay which obviously I do not have and the only option I think I have is to wait until Sunday morning for the game to be uploaded onto You Tube (my wife is in for one miserable dude every Saturday)

Thank you.

I have sling TV it is $55.00 per month for ESPN and Fox sports. It is less if you just get ESPN.

You could use either VPN or a SmartDSN service. VPN is more secure if you're using your laptop, smartphone, etc to watch. Setting up service without a zip would still be an issue.

SmartDNS may not be as secure but you wouldn't need a US zip. Use a device that does not have access personal information on. Buy a inexpensive tablet and cast to your TV.

Know anyone with access to the Armed Force's Network?

Unfortunately, ESPN doesn't have a fully capable streaming app, yet. They have teased one, but not announced an actual release date that I have seen. If I had to guess, the cable companies are doing everything they can to keep Disney from releasing it, seeing as though they are one of the few networks left that are sub only.

So that leaves you with two options:

1. Pay for a sub through cable, YoutubeTV, Sling, Fubo, etc.
2. Pirate that crap like it's Mike Leach's favorite history subject.

If you can borrow a buddy's ESPN login, you can buy an Amazon Firestick, download/pay for Express VPN, set your location to the US city of your choice, and enjoy your booty. (~$10/month)

Yeah, even if you have a subscription to something, in the U.K., that whole “content is not available in your country” business is so unpredictable. A VPN is probably going to be required.
It really is sad that we still have to deal with junk like this in 2023. Obviously they have no difficulty taking my payments when overseas. Why is it hard for them to provide digital content in response?

ESPN won't leave cable, but watch Disney spin off ESPN into streaming in the next couple of years – especially with live sports. As upside-down as ESPN is with all the broadcast rights deals and overpaying talking heads at the cost of letting many of their best people go, they need the extra revenue that an extra $20-30/month might bring x millions of viewers.

Everyone's watching the crazy rise of MLSMessi/Apple+ as well as NFL Sunday Ticket/YouTubeTV to see how well they do as standalones as well.

Last year I was watching live SEC football games in the USA on UK ESPN, even had SEC network. I would imagine you can shop for streaming services in the UK that offer ESPN package. Since Uncle Sam is actively shutting down the "alternate" IPTV services, I'll be subscribing to SLING for a few months.

AND... Even for us in the US, the VPN works great for out of market NFL games. Just go to the nearest VPN location to the game you want to watch (home OR away markets), then tune in the broadcast channel on a fire stick and BOOM! Legally access all NFL games.

I can nearly always find UT football games streamed free on YouTube. Usually by a vietnamese guy, strangely. I have to do this for ANY games on SEC network because i do not have that channel. Hope this helps.

Edit: streams are live. At worst 1 or 2 minutes behind the radio. Usually just a few seconds difference. Audio can be streamed on WIVK or WNML websites for free also

No, I don't need to with a fire stick and a VPN. I just choose a city that's local broadcast will have the game I want to watch, and then I assign the VPN to that city. Once you do that the fire stick will pickup the local CBS or FOX affiliate's feed. You never have to do it with ESPN or NBC because those are national feed games. Remember, every game is freely broadcast in it's local area. Just tell the VPN your in the local area of your choosing.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Jeff Bezos and Amazon step up here in the next year or two and do something on Prime similar to what they are doing with the NFL.
SEC on Prime Friday night anyone?
