The glass twist off counter clockwise. Hold the base and twist the glass. If you have to twist the whole fixture counter clockwise and then disconnect the wirenuts when the fixture drops. You can then get the glass off. The glass sometimes sticks due to heat. Oh and turn off the switch if you don't have experience with electrical.I can’t remove the dome/entire fixture for the life of me. The bulb just went out. I looked at Lowe’s and Home Depot to see if they carry the same model but I didn’t see anything similar. I tried twisting the glass but it won’t budge.

No luck yet. Thing isn’t budging but I need to get some jar open grippers to see if that helps.
The duct tape is a good idea to contain the glass when you hit it with a hammerTape tabs... pull down and you twist.
