Henry T Leaves Neyland After Loss To The Vols

I can appreciate the disdain for him due to how Alabama used him for PR material.

As for why he left, the University of Tennessee dismissed EVERY player, coach, and administrator connected to Pruitts pay for play that was uncovered.

The kids did not have a choice. Maybe they still would have transferred. But the University helped them move along so that the NCAA would see the reason to penalize the Vols upon their finding.

Again, I get the disdain, but how easily so many on here forget the facts

I do appreciate facts, but actions have consequences. The players that were forced to leave were part of the reason we have been investigated. The vast majority of these players chose to go to schools outside of the SEC and their parents didn’t actively trash the university. So they didn’t have choice whether to stay, but they did have a choice on where they went to play. The majority also didn’t make hype videos and didn’t go play for another rival. The only one to make those choices also let his emotions get the better of him several times during the game Saturday and it caused him to grade out poorly.

So, we had a bunch of dirty coaches and players that were asked to leave, yet only one draws the ire of our fan base. Why is that? Because he was one of the very reasons that the current coaching staff had to completely rebuild a roster and overhaul the culture. He had his hand out, then was asked to leave and puffed his chest out. Human nature is human nature, the fans’ reaction is the direct result of his lack of character and humility.

Most loved Vol to most Hated. I understand that. He could’ve been a Sooner, I appreciate that.

Had he had the choice, I think he would’ve stayed. That’s all I’m saying.

I think he was angry that he was no longer being paid by Tennessee and thought he was getting even by going to Alabama. I think Henry Doo Doo is just in it for the money and would have had no loyalty to any school he would have went to.

I don’t think we disagree at all. The reactions are just the result of a long string of poor choices by Henry and coaches. He may have stayed if allowed but lack of humility from him and his father flipped our fan bases’ opinion.

Henry who?

Worry about what you got and forget about what you don’t.

Don’t be the teenager who keys the car of the ex who left you.

Henry is no longer here, Eric is no longer here, Lyle is no longer here, Pruitt is no longer here. Let them go and enjoy the season.

Can I be real with y’all? Like, real real?
When Coach Heupel was hired I thought about jumping off the HSB. So I guess I was transferring too.
Edit: but I sure as heck wasn’t going to go root for Alabama so I guess it’s not the same.

I think he was absolutely right to transfer. Transferring to Alabama of all places, and specifically seeking out conflict with our fans to rub it in? He’s asking for the reception he got.
Nobody should wish him harm, but we should wish for him to be profoundly disappointed.
