I know that many here have no interest in women’s sports.
I get that.
But, I’m hoping that you will make an exception tonight and watch the Lady Vols when they host #1 ranked Notre Dame at 7pm Eastern on ESPN.

WHY?
Because at one time (less than ten years ago), our women’s basketball team was a big part of our schools identity from a nationwide perspective. We got a lot of great national acclaim for the way that Pat ran her program.

Fast forward to today and this program has now completely collapsed.
Some will say fine. Without Pat, forget them. Just concentrate on rebuilding football and the recent success of men’s hoops.
But, that is small thinking. We should want all of our programs to be successful.
Like women’s hoops or not, it is still the third most important sports product on our campus.
And, it has become an embarrassment.

Just watch how clueless our head coach is tonight with arms always folded and blank stares.
Then watch the other bench and see what a real pro Coach McGraw is. Just as Pat was.
The Lady Vols deserve better.
Pats memory deserves better.
UT deserves better.
Please watch or tape it and watch later and then send a note to our Athletic Director about what you saw.
If for nothing else, do it for the orange blooded women in your life.
Thanx for the rant.

**On Edit...just FYI...I wrote this for and placed it in the football forum. I wanted a different audience than this forum to see my request as you can tell by the opening lines. However, the powers that be here immediately moved it to the LV forum. Wish they hadn’t but I understand why they did and it is their forum and their rightful place to make that decision.

No Vol fan is enough of a glutton for punishment to put himself/herself through even more misery in spite of Holly Warlick's efforts to make us all suffer.
I'm going to sit and watch a dinosaur egg hatch rather than wait for the UT administration to replace her with a worthwhile head coach.

Please let Fulmer know how you feel. Thanx.

Ill probably watch just to see if we can lose to Alabama by 20, and actually give Notre Dame a game. Maybe the LV's will actually get up for this game like Vandy did against the Men. Doubt it though. Oh wait.....nevermind, I have a company dinner tonight.

I predict they will.
It mirrors last years team a little later than this point.
Win against who you're not supposed to and lose to who you are supposed to beat.
Different players and team, same coach.

I suspected McGraw didn't try real hard last year. Do you remember? She didn't seem to be into the game, not off the bench, not exhorting her team. I think I commented at the time that she seemed strangely " reserved."
