This is true, but some people think it is racist to point out. Seems overly sensitive to me.



I can't imagine a Mormon being elected, but I suppose it is possible. I am sure he'd have Utah on lockdown. I would think his rather inflexible views on certain issues (abortion in all forms, etc.) would hurt him with independents.

I thought Romney had a more moderate view on abortion and his only inflexibility was his continued defense of the crappy UHC plan he signed into law as governor.

His statement that no Mormon would EVER be elected POTUS. My argument is there is no way an absolute can be applied as to a particular group, like the Mormoms, on one of that group never becoming POTUS

I think anything is possible, but I certainly wouldn't make a bet with him for one being elected in our lifetimes. Would you?

My opinion on Mitt would be that he is the most electable of all the Republicans. It is far more unlikely that a far right Christian conservative would be POTUS than a moderate republican who happens to be Mormon
