I am a firm believer in a simplified offense..Under DC we could run 6 to 8 plays from the same formation..If you go back and look at old games and compare them to games over the last 7 years, there were less penalties and stupid mistakes,it also kept opposing defenses on their heels...If you notice that when an audible is called now there is a lot of movement to get in the correct formation not only does that take time but also keeps the lineman in their stance way too long.

Victor McClure was on the local sportstalk show in Chattanooga last night. He discussed that Mike Barry was the best OL coach he learned from. To paraphrase, he basically said that Jimmy Ray Stephens yells more, but that Barry didn't have to because the players respected/feared him more.

Regarding the offensive playbook. He said that at first its overwhelming, but that once you learn it, its not difficult at all. The answer was in reference to a caller's question about Ainge being overwhelmed by the playbook.

So why not bring DC back and re install that offense? It worked with heath, Peyton Tee, and Eli..We need continuity in this offense plain and simple....

And 2 of those are GREAT NFL QB's right now or were the 1st QB taken in the draft. Amazing what happened when he put in Miller. DC is not the answer!

OK then lets start throwing out the names that people will get the job done, and what this board will be saying next year or the year after if that person can't get the continuity and this offense turned around? At that point all fingers will and have pointed at Fulmer. So then he's out. Whats next a new HC then a NEW system and the time to get it installed. We could be talking about 5 yrs down the road. Now tell me are we gonna be satisfied with that?

The only time I'm satisfied is when I think everybody has taken the game seriously and done his job. If I don't think everybody's playing according to Hoyle, then I'm going to be after his job. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.

I agree but if you look at the discontent after 7 yrs of build up. I am not sure we as fans would be patient enough to rebuild the program....Then what no big name coach will want to be here...Then what do we go after the gerry dinardo's?

It took Georgia 3 hires before they struck gold. However, CFM has repeatedly shown he is now inadequate going forward in today's SEC, much less nationally. There are capable younger coaching talent around the country, Jimmy Levitt @ USF for one. CFM is done, he will hang on because he has backing and power today but ultimately that will vanish. He lost his perspective of the program. A program that historically has been known for high character, hard hitting and disicplined football teams. This football team is not fundamentally sound, undisciplined and this is his football team. He has made his money. The big money behind the program will eventually pull the trigger, it is just a matter of time.
