As I was telling Chuck, I'm pretty resistant to cold... I wear shorts in December 1/3 of the time. But before today, I've never wanted to commit seppuku in a parking lot on the way to my car.

Well it's been around 25 degrees regularly but the winds all within about a 50 mile radius of Portland have been whipping up to 40 mph so tons of wind chill... It feels as cold as low single digits

I wouldnt listen to snow predictions in Nashville. It's too hit or miss. There's never really a guarantee.

I've only been in Oregon once in 1993 (summer) to see the Dead play at Autzen Stadium. It was VERY VERY NICE. (this includes women, booze, other stuff (puff puff))

But I didn't get to stay there long enough.

What's the normal Temp in winter?

haha summer time..... oh man you aint kidding about the ladies man. i think average temp in the winter its usually around 20 in the morning and heats up into really low 40's but the wind chill makes it feel like 18 to 22 degrees all winter, but summer time is the best.

Are you in Nashville, utfantilidie? The reason I ask is because we were supposed to come to to Nashville to celebrate my husband's birthday this weekend, but cancelled because we thought the weather might get bad, both here at home and in Nashville. Did we cancel for nothing?

:(

Yeah, it's snowing good here in Brentwood now. The roads were being salted well this morning on the way in, but it's still nasty.

Nah, it's been unusually windy lately. Normally winter is around 40 degrees, snows maybe 2-3 times a decade. The coldest months are usually October and Nobvember. Avg temps then around freezing and that's the time of year when the Portland area gets hit with Gorge winds.

Summer time... It's a dry 80 and sunny every day. :shades:
