maybe the cfn rankings could replace the AP in the BCS rankings? :D

I was feeling good about the college football news rankings until I saw he put Florida in the top 15.

Didn't we finish 2nd in the SEC? Maybe I just imagined that.

I'm not one normally to complain about this type of thing and I don't think it's any type of conspiracy but rather a flawed system.

Oh well, I think we all know what kind of year it was.

One more thing. Didn't Michigan lose to ND also? Didn't they lose to a 3 or 4 loss team (Ohio St.). Didn't they lose their bowl game? Isn't our record better than theirs?

Don't even get me started on Georgia :p

I want Oregon State in there. Heck, they crashed the Notre Dame party and beat them silly. Where's the Beaver's ranking? They were ranked in the computers, before that butt-whipping they gave ND.

And shouldn't we be higher? Just a random thought. I mean, call me crazy, but didn't Tennessee just beat some team they were picked to lose against? What was the score again?

OK, first I think we got the shaft. But, so did Texas and a few others. It's all a sham. OU got embarrased and only fell to 3rd. Come on.

Now, if any of you are still on...Milo...how do you attach those pics to your signature????

Previous poll speculation thread

I posted my numbers because I think LSU will drop below us in the AP poll, but not Michigan. Nobody else that lost will drop below us, meaning yes, Georgia will still be ranked higher than Tennessee, as will Michigan, who lost to ND as well. Michigan will be 13th, Tennessee 14th, LSU 15th.

In the E$PN/USA Today poll, only Wisconcin will drop below us, so we'll move up to 16th. Nobody else that lost will drop below us in this pitiful racket known as a poll.

I will be absolutely shocked if we are any higher than those rankings that I've predicted.

Well, well....... Looks like the AP ended up dropping both Michigan and LSU below us. I didn't expect it, but it's a little surprising.

The E$PN/USA Today poll is what gets me. I really didn't think they would drop LSU below us.

The Georgia bias in both polls is despicable. Realistically, I believe both polls should have Tennessee 7th, Georgia 8th, and Louisville 9th. The rest looks pretty balanced, or as balanced as it can be.

The only good thing about this season being over is we don't have to deal with idiotic polls for a while. I still think that every conference needs a championship game, since we seem to get punished for going to one.

yeah one of the arguments against going to a playoff is that the season games wouldn't mean anything...what a load of crap... if every conference had a championship game they would have to take the season games seriously... any team not willing to join a conference would just be outta luck!

How can OU get the ever loving crap beat out of them and still be #3? I mean the way they played last night I think my high school could have beaten them.

Oh well, these polls are stupid. Champions are suppose to be decided on the field not by computers and people's opinions. Computers really are taking over the world! :shakehead:

Last night was not just Oklahoma coming out flat (to say the least), it was that USC is also that good.

As far as Georgia is concerned, their entire season was predicated around that LSU win. They barely got by a Wisconsin team who made a big bowl because of the first two months of the season, and is did comparitively terrible at the end of the season. WOW. Big friggin' deal. The week after Georgia beat LSU is the only week this whole season Bulldogs deserved a top-10 ranking. You guys think the voters have a love affair with the Big XII or Pac-10? Hardly. Try Georgia or any of the Florida teams.

No doubt Milo, that love affair with Florida teams is so obvious. Florida State always gets the big vote because of Bowden. You know that they won't hold "the u" down for long and UF gets a lot of love too. Georgia is the one that I still don't get. Not only did they barely beat Wisky, the barely beat South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Arkansas and only beat Marshall 13 - 3. The UF game was not a blow out by any means and we beat them along with Auburn. I think that UGA is ranked so high because of the two David's that everyone is always talking about. I just don't think that they should be ranked that high without even winning the SEC East.

Seriously, only Miami could be ranked as high as they were after their losses. If the Vols had done the exact same thing, we'd be out of the top 25 all together, no questions asked.

How does Meechigan lose their bowl and not drop? And Fla St, what a joke!! The coaches HATE Fulmer for "turning bama in", think of him as a traitor. This whole system is sh-t. The writers have us about where we belong 13th, in my opinion. Our screwing for next year is already in progress, check out the preseason ESPN-National Enquirer poll. :espn: :puke:

A couple of points:

GEORGIA (has to be first) -- pollsters still pissed at themselves and trying to make up for early hype and thoughts of a NC (what a friggin load of crap)

MICHIGAN -- hmmm, so let me get this right. . . .are you supposed to lose in order to move up in the polls?

MIAMI -- only team with criminal players intimidating enough to force voters to keep them in the top 10 even after back-to-back losses to unranked teams. Could break off the US and float to Cuba for all I care.

AUBURN -- go undefeated, win the SEC, win the bowl. . . . and not ONE DAMN first-place vote in the Coaches poll. Nice.

OKLAHOMA -- gets EMBARRASED. I mean got the crap beat out of them and looked absolutely horrible doing it. Falls to 3. Easy guys.

* * *

It's all such a bunch of BS. All I know is, let's go do what Auburn did this year and we'll print our own Championship shirts in 2005.
