Here's the deal on UT Hoops

If West is eligible next year, how can you not put him on scholarship after he's paid his own way for a year?

Translation: I don't really know anything, but I have to meet an article quota...so hence this article about nothing.

No, Aaron, I know exactly where things stand.
Some decisions have yet to be made.
I can't write the news before it happens -- I could speculate just like you or anyone else.
I consider it my job to clear the air and set things straight.

Thanks for the update Griff!

I don't venture to the KNS nearly as much as I used to because I can't handle the ridiculous arguments that carry on between the UT and UF posters. It's unbearable.

A blog is different, and there is no quota to meet -- I do blogs in addition to my regular work week at the Sentinel. I write them when I have something to write about that's not already covered in my assigned duties.
I wrote this most recent one because of the runaway rumors that have been started...
People have a tendency to make things up when they don't know or can't find the answers.
It's human nature.
It's my nature to try to keep the record straight and reflect history accurately, something that gets harder to do every day with perception-skewing reports from others....
But hey, message boards are fun to read...some people are funny, and some people write stuff that is so wrong I have to laugh.

Griff you have made my day! This is awesome. I love your work and was simply playing, but thanks so much for this amazing reply...smiling ear to ear. I understand your point in the article...thanks for the reply! We should get a beer sometime! No, I do not have a bromance for you.

I'd be happy if somebody would just press Pearl on why 60 percent of our team's shots against Oklahoma State were threes. Or, specifically, why our gameplan against a much shorter team involved having our center shoot twice as many threes as twos.

It's like if Arizona Cardinals lost in the playoffs because they had Edgerrin James come out and run the ball 40 times in a row. And yet Pearl has gotten a free pass in the media for it.

Don't expect any tough questions from Sports Reporter Griff. He is on record as saying, "UT got beat because it got out-rebounded, not out-shot or out-schemed”.

We know what Sportwriter Griff and Chuck Cavalaris think about Pearl. I want to know what Professor Griff and Chuck D think about Bruce.
