I would be terrified of that Louisville team at the end of the year, but I would also be ecstatic just to be back in a bowl.

I think Kentucky will upset that Louisville team propelling the Cats into a bowl game with a 6-6 record.

Petrino is a great coach but I wouldn't be terrified. We actually have some speed on defense now and Louisville doesn't have the weapons to make me think UT wouldn't have a good chance to win that match up.

No Vandy lol? according to their fans they got a victory last night. Moral Victory that is. They are a happy bunch this morning.

I think GT will be too good for the Military Bowl. I think they go 10-2 and go to the ACCCG. As a BYU fan I'd love the Fiesta against Stanford. Vanderbilt could play Georgia State in the Kohler Toilet Bowl.

C-USA and MAC billets.

But yeah, I'd go to the Bahamas for Christmas.

I bet that Bowl doesn't last 4 seasons. I bet only 500-1000 show up for a CUSA-MAC Bowl game. Way too many Bowl games,i wonder what new Bowls with be created in 2015?

It'll have a niche like the Hawaii Bowl and let's face it, playing in the Bahamas isn't exactly like going to Idaho or Detroit in the winter. And the stadium only holds 15,000 (expandable to 30K) so getting a full house won't be as hard as it sounds.

If they wanted to get it a bit bigger, they'd go with an ACC school and a C-USA, MWC or MAC team. And keep the ticket prices reasonable.

Wait, I don't understand how this SBnation writer's bowl projections work.

This site had us in the Outback Bowl last week, didn't it?

So we don't play a week (and Missouri loses a game) and they move us back to the Belk bowl and the Tigers move up to the Outback Bowl?

That one doesn't make sense, let alone just for fanbases, traveling, and marketability.

Good points that you make:hi:

I guess BYU can get out of the agreement if they are able to go to a better bowl game(like the Fiesta). I hope BYU isn't permanently tied to the Miami Beach Bowl.

I figured they would be smart enough to write in an escape clause. No sense in going to a minor bowl game when they can get way more revenue out of a New Years Day bowl.

I'm not sure how well BYU fans travel though. More of a question than a statement.

I figure they would outnumber Stanford fans by probably 60%-40% in the Fiesta Bowl(Provo to Tempe wouldn't be that bad of a trip). BYU always sold out the Holiday Bowl in the years that they went to it every season.

What makes you think that?

The Bowls I've watched BYU in the BYU fans tended to outnumber the other teams fans. Like in the Fight Hunger Bowl last season against Washington.

I don't think Stanford's fans have had any issues traveling either, especially to the bigger bowl games in the last few seasons.

Distance wise, Tempe appears to be only about an hour further from Palo Alto than BYU's campus.

The bowl you're using for comparison, besides being a minor bowl game, was about 13 hours from University of Washington.
