If Alabama wins over LSU in another tight game. Who gets ranked number one? LSU would be a one loss team, Alabama a two loss team. They would split the series against each other 1-1.
I mean a split title would be obvious. Pretty great system we have?

Hopefully a majority of the voters do too. A rematch would be a snooze-fest AGAIN. No thank you. I want to see a high-powered O against LSU's D.
If this season would of played out like this before the BCS & OT, I wonder how they would determine the #1 team?
Polls at the end of the year; split title between Bama and LSU, with likely more favor to whoever the conference named as its champion/ got the invite from the major bowl, presuming they both win their games
OkSt would also be undefeated with a tie in this case
...are we talking about AP & Coaches poll being the end all pre-BCS or the even earlier whole multitude of polls (50s,40s,60s?...maybe into the 70s?)
