Looking back at the past, and how things used to be at Tennessee. For those on this Board too young to remember or be part of it, check out the link below.
This is what Tennessee football was. It was rock solid defense and pound it in your face running attack on offense. It was all-time NCAA record attendance at Neyland and tearing down goal posts. It was a team (and fans) that could walk with a swagger, and when you left Neyland, your throat was sore from screaming. It was a time when fans expected a 10-win season, and competing for the SEC Championship with a shot at the National Championship.
In short, Tennessee football was just fun. The last 5 years have really, really, really sucked. This is not "normal", and no true fan should settle for this absolute mediocrity. I can't wait to get back to the level where we can stand toe to toe with any team in the nation. All diehard fans deserve no less!
Here's hoping in 2013 that Butch Jones gets the ball rolling in the right direction again!!! GBO!
