Pretty awesome display of the recovery capabilities they have now. Check out the monitors showing off your legs in the water.

Seems like riding up and down does little for your leg strength. Trade that thing in.

Awesome pic of one of my favorite vols. I admired the h3ll out of Herman Lathers for overcoming bone cancer when I first heard about it because I know it's one of the most painful cancers out there. Now that I've recently lost a loved one to that very same disease and seen the battle from the inside my admiration has only grown. Seeing it up close, the man is a hero for not just beating it but for achieving all he has.

Going to college and playing college football at it's highest level AND graduating from college after kicking it's butt and all the other adversities that have come his way elevates the man to near superhero status in my eyes.

He's going to be a steal for someone.

I went to a laser seminar last weekend; the instructor was saying it is very good when it comes to damaged cells. It made me think; does UT utilize this therapy? Does anyone know?

This young man will always have my respect. And I'm sorry for your loss. Cancer is a bastard.

How does a post like this have only 3 likes but something about Dooley being better than Kiffin who could recruit circles around Fulmer would have 100.

Great post and I agree, love Herm.:hi:

No need to crack on Lathers.

Dude has been through far more than the average college football player through no fault of his own.

I will however say that I can't see how any recruit could turn down a submersible tread mill though. Jones needs to be playing this up.

Thanks vollygirl. I've seen cancer before but dam this loss was something else -- too young, too fast, and way too cruel. Like I said, I knew it was one of the more painful ones but I never realized how bone cancer can turn your bones to glass and shatter them just with tumors. It was diagnosed during Thanksgiving and all over just days before Christmas. The docs were talking a good prognosis and just as shocked at how aggressive it became. Totally unexpected.

Never make the mistake of thinking you have any amount of time with a loved one when a dx like that comes in even when the prognosis is good. Every moment is precious and things can change against all odds.
