Heup vs Hype Vols keep #1 CO recruit

I’d take the number 1 player from Alaska as long as his name is Olaf and he is a foreign exchange student from Scandinavia that’s been fighting bears his whole life to survive.
Could we find a way to get a sled dog eligibility? A malamute could make open field cuts like nobody’s business. Low center of gravity too.

I’m not anti Coach Prime at all, in fact I support him because I know he‘s the only coach that isn’t afraid to publicly speak about his faith.

BUT, if he lands anyone outside of the best DB‘s in the country over SEC schools, I’m not sure I’d want that player because of their gullibility; there is no comparison to the facilities and support a player receives here or most other SEC schools.

This has to be either a joke or poor attempt at sarcasm. I don’t like Sanders at all. But your stance on not wanting a DB that wants to play for him is insane. He is the greatest DB to ever play. It’s easy to see why any DB would want to play for him.

It would be no different than if Peyton Manning came here to coach. Elite QBs would want to come learn under him. You can guess why/

I didn’t see this posted anywhere. Apologize if it has been.

Love this staff. It’s so nice to have a staff you’re not embarrassed of.

Thanks for posting. I already liked his commitment due to his frame and athletic ability at his size. I have thought from the moment he committed that he is the type of 3 star you take and see if he can be solid depth at worst with the possibility to develop into an elite OT.

This article just made me like him even more....possibly my favorite recruit this cycle. I feel very good about him being a solid addition to our program even if he never starts (I do think he will develop and contribute). This is a kid you want in your locker room.

That's not at all what his post said??

It may just be me, but I believe Deion has a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious NLI donor behind him (probably the one that got the #1 recruit to Jackson St.) and those $$$ create the gullibility of choosing Colorado over an SEC school.

I'm sure that someone with as much money as Deion could find a way to funnels 5-10 million discretely to a "sports collective" that then offers recruits a great compensation package to commit to wherever Deion is coaching.

Totally worth the investment on his part since he recoups the money through his coaching salary that he doesn't need anyway. Also, connections to NFL personnel and former/current players helps. Don't think there is any rule against them attending games and bumping into players and recruits.

It's interesting to watch because I can't remember there ever being a coach who was as elite of a player or as recognizable. I'm not a fan but can see why kids would go for it. I don't ever want him in the SEC at a decent program because that school would quickly become comparable to UGA in talent and good/great coordinators and assistants are always available at the right price.

Hope he stays out west.....maybe ending up at UCLA when they eventually fire Chip Kelly.

As soon as Norvell slips up, FSU calling Deion.

Unless Norvell can absolutely kill the portal this off season, I bet next season will be his last. Heck this season isn’t over yet.

I’d stay at CU one more year, send Hunter off to the NFL, move on.

I definitely could see that happening. I could also see that causing SEC schools to absolutely raise hell if the SEC tried to bring FSU (and Clemson) into the league. ACC's days are numbered as anything other than a basketball conference with a couple of schools like UNC, UVA, Wake, etc. that occasionally have decent football teams.

My bet is that Deion replaces Saban when he retires and that Prime stays at CU until that happens in 2-3 years.

There is a 0% chance Deion is spending his own money on paying NIL deals

Consistently? I agree with you and probably not at CU. At Jackson State for the #1 player in the early stages of his coaching career? Maybe, maybe not but 0% chance....I don't agree.

He is a competitive guy who wants to win and prove something. If getting that off the ground and successful required a personal investment that is miniscule to someone of his net worth then it would not surprise me at all. Normally, a former player of his stature and wealth would be donating to his alma mater so why would he not "donate" a similar amount to something he is even more personally invested in?

It also would benefit his children and increase their chances of success to have elite talent around them.
