Heupel post game presser - Vandy

He held it in but you could see the emotion. The man needs a little time. He has worked wonders so far.
YES...all day long this. You can tell all through the season that coach is still growing and learning.

He very much strikes me as a "I'm either winning or I'm learning" guy. The last three we had here on the hill had a winner or I'm a loser mentality...our job as fans now is to give that man the time and space to continue the growth.

I think coach Heup did just about as well as he could this year,
but CJH really missed Hendon Hooker.

They had a strong bond rooted in their shared faith. Maybe that was the edge they had.

I was always proud of the way they wore that faith on their sleeves
and the way HH represented the U of T.

Shout out to Knoxville media for the way they handled that presser. Very positive and encouraging. They see the big picture and highlighted how far we’ve come from when Heupel took over rather than focusing this year’s disappointments. Well done. Preciate you! 🫡

I think that with all things considered, 8-4 is a good season. When 12 first and second team players are injured and lost for the season, playing walk-ons and underclassmen with minimal game experience, I consider it a successful season. Maybe some of the walking wounded will be able to play in the bowl game.
