Heupel Sideline Warning?

Could be wrong but I think our team was pretty pissed especially after the out of bounds hit on Nico that didn’t get called. I can’t remember if the sideline warning was before or after that but the lineman were pissed after that.

Came to say this. I think he was upset about the out of bounds sling down of Nico, and came out on the field.

Was that the same time that our O Linemen blocked an NC State player through the gatorade stand and into the Charlotte suburbs ?
Ahem. An NCSU player pushed Nico out of bounds into the midst of his sidelined teammates, but he wanted the satisfaction of tackling Nico, so he threw him down while out of bounds. The Wolf Pups were riled up, and one wanted to join in on the out-of-bounds abuse of Nico. Two Tennessee linemen encouraged his restraint and escorted him away from temptation.

Heupel stepped out onto the field when he shouldn’t have. Given the exemplary behavior of Tennessee players in a high-intensity situation, the official elected to give a warning rather than assess a penalty.

What about the delay of game we had in the 2nd half? Our team was just standing around and doing nothing while the play clock counted down. It was right after either a kickoff or a punt. I think it was after Nico's pick 6.

Dude is passionate as hell !!!
If it's at the point I'm thinking, it was just after the out of bounds situation where there were 'offsetting penalties'.
I think Heupel's argument is the 2 OL from UT driving the DL guy from NCST downtown Charlotte was just the 'momentum of play' while the hit on Nico was extracurricular in nature.

Warning was the way of the ref saying it is what it is and leave it alone coach.

As others have said, it would have been for being outside of the designated coaching area.

But I think I remember thinking (roll tape on this, huh?)... that it happened the play after one of our D-linemen was called for lining up offsides, 'cause I remember wondering if Heupel moved up beside the line judge to appreciate his perspective, or was on the field yelling at the line judge.

We've got 6 long days until the next game, so we do need to tease this out, find video, and argue ourselves into a hillbilly feud by Thursday. Don'cha love not having big important things to question after a game? :) Winning... it's what's for breakfast!

I think we expected a play clock reset coming off the timeout, but the refs did not give us one. There was a mixup between the clock and the timeout timer. We should have gotten a new play clock

another example of Big 10 ref crew's ineptness

The play clock operator didn't know how football works. After every kickoff, the play clock started before the football has even been set. Multiple times the ref had to tell them to reset it

That reminds me. Isn't it pass interference for a defender to "fall down" on the WR going for the ball and knocking him down (on a catchable ball)? This happened eary in the game.
