Heupel's SEC Coaches Call

Tennessee HC Josh Heupel starts his SEC coaches call saying that the players did get a “dose of reality” in film meetings this week. But that all of the players were eager to learn and improve heading into UT Martin

Heupel on recruiting over the weekend: Our environment is second to none, and last Saturday was a really unique atmosphere to Neyland Stadium… It was a great win, but a great opportunity to help us on the recruiting front.

Heupel on the offensive line against Alabama: Probably their most consistent performance for four quarters.

I think the OL's performance is the biggest surprise of all. I have thought they struggled at times, especially to run the ball, but have made significant improvements these past couple games.

The job our O-line coach has done with those guys is nuts, I was worried about our front five earlier in the year. Not anymore

Thank you. I’m glad you mentioned that. I was disappointed that in his post game remarks, coach Heupel didn’t specifically recognize the contribution our strength and conditioning program has made to the incredible success the team is having. It’s great to see our guys have the HEART to fight hard … literally until the game clock says “0” but without exceptional conditioning… they couldn’t get much done. This team has the Heart and the AZZ to back it up..!!!

The OL was incredible but the DL was just as impressive or more so!
