We went in seeking Scarlett Johannson and ended up with Carey Mulligan.

Not the sexy hire. But still nice to look at.

It could've been worse. We could've ended up with RuPaul (Kirby Smart).

Thanks, Aggie. It's a shame that our wonderful institution is controlled by a Gayfer and a teabagger. But she-it happens, Butch happens, life happens. I'm looking forward to following y'all next year - my grandfather is an Aggie! Grandmother complained about the Sips until the year she died! So I'm excited about watching the Ags for the next few years - I need some REAL football!

Well, if ole Johnny brings it home, we'll all be pleased it stayed in the SEC family. I'd guess there would be plenty of folks that would have something to post here about it. Y'all won't need me around here pea cocking.

Sure hope things work out that way.

Thanks for the sentiment. It was classy. "Vol 4 life ALWAYS", and I pray everyone agrees! A big 12 transplant that starts a post like this is depressing...

Do you ever think about going back to SEC Media Days in Destin and replaying the interview with Sumlin, especially the questions from the Alabama media?

I think about that now and about how totally wrong those folks were about aTm.

Yeah. But a number of our fans were smiling at the end of that one. That killed off our parasite of a coach.

Years ago I went to a similar game with my Gator wife, watching the Ron Zook Experience take on Mississippi State in Starkville. That was Croom's first year in charge; State had been shut out earlier in the year 7-0...by Maine!

They ended up scoring 30-plus points on Florida as Zook's defense ended up making Omar Conner look like Heath Shuler.

The Gator fans were laughing their ass off in party mode. They knew Zook was done. I'd never seen anything like it out of them.
