Well living down here in Middle GA....I hear a lot of Dawgs info: The majority are ok with Kirby so far...however, but he will not get the 4 yr rebuild afforded CBJ (nor should he). If he goes 7-5 again next season he'll be on the hot seat and have to start canning his coordinators (Most likely Chaney). They are expecting big things from their D next year. But they will be replacing Chubb and Michel, and their the majority of the Receiving corps has not lived up to their billing. Eason has been very erratic. That said, their perspective is, "Unlike the SECw, there is no mountain to climb in the East, so they expect to win it next year."

This is pretty accurate. I would say recruiting seems to have picked up. Richt could always do well, but not great. The 2013 class was a horrible crater in out depth chart. We had a lot of freshmen and some walkons starting this year. There is hope that Kirby is getting his plan and vision implemented and things will improve.
However, it's pretty obvious a talent deficiency doesn't explain losing to Vandy or Tech. Those two loses inparticular look like a coaching fail. UGA is not a program where you need a coach to do more with less. Having 1 or 2 unexplainable losses a year was something we had hoped we had gotten rid of. It looks like that might not be the case. Richt could have easily gotten 7-5 this year. Most are withhold judgment and taking a wait and see approach, but Kirby is clearly not a slam dunk hire right out of the gate.
I just hope he is not our Lane Kiffen..... mainly because that means D. Dooley is coming next.
I can only imagine the crap UGA fans in Florida would have to endure. I personally was not on the Fire Richt train. However, I did understand the frustration of many fans that he "couldn't get over the hump". Once he was fired, I was excited about some fresh blood and a new direction. That said, I will always be a Richt fan. He is just a genuinely good man. I think he has a good situation with the South Fla talent and being in the ACC. Plus, we can both agree that a strong U hurts the Gators and screw them. I pull for Richt to win, and quit honestly, if he kicked UGAs ass in a bowl game this year, good on him. 7-5 vs 7-6.....who cares? Now....next year, Kirby needs to start getting his players into the program and turning the ship. If Richt is kicking our ass in 2017 and 2018....there will be a whole lot of upset UGA fans, myself included.
