Is it in violation of NCAA rules for a player to receive IV fluids when it is not a medical situation? In other words...can a player take an IV for general rejuvenation?

Why would they give iv fluids if it wasn't necessary? If a player is dehydrating dont they give them some saline.

Yep. Just like you're supposed to have an actual medical injury to your elbow to wear those white arm sleeves in college hoops. Yet every player who thinks they are anybody has one.
