Hey UT fans, I run the board Dynasty Defenders and we have had you guys linked up for a long time. I havent got by here lately but the Cats play today against Louisvile and hope you root for us to win. We are on ESPN2 at 3:30. We have a winning record at their place but we are big underdogs today (As usual)

Anyway, I am hoping you root for a fellow SEC team today, I know we dont often hold up our end in football as we are mainly a basketball school but UK has one football title from 1950 and is wanting real bad to get this thing rolling again. Stop by our site as I will post this on our football board

That's tough starting out the first game with a rivalry game.

You guys better win this game, I picked you on every pick-em contest I'm in.

We are a 9 point underdog and on the road. We also have key injuries and a new qb. We need some luck today.

Well, basketball season is officially here

Is that because the football game is out of hand? Tough luck. How long will you guys keep that old fart for a coach? I think Randy Sanders would fit you really well. He is young and a good recruiter.

It doesnt matter dude, my beloved Cats wont ever be able to win at football. This season is over and basketball is on the way so its all good. I wish we would just drop football because its embarrasing for UK.

Katman, Welcome to VOLNATION! I went to High School in NE Kentucky ,near Ashland and Olive Hill so I grew up a KAT BSKETBALL Fan! Gotta love Jim Masters, Melvin Turpin and Kenny Walker. LOL. I bleed VOL orange from one end to the other and the UK days can be considered misguided youth.

Just seeing the score to the UL vs UK game today made my stomach turn..What happened to you guys in such a short period of time. A 28-0 pasting is not how you want to start the season. On a good note there is nothing to do but go up!

Once again welcome.

Oh well, I am looking forward to Basketball as always, we have the number one class coming in. I cant think about Football because we just cant compete in just about any year with any coach we have had, so football season ended for me after one afternoon this year. I bet IU beats us in 12 days.

Dont get me wrong, I will still root for the Cats hard to win, I just know deep down we are going to lose most every game again, and it gets hard on fans after many years of the same thing.

Hey Kat, how come you guys backed out of the Coaches v. Cancer tourney? Afraid of potentially having to play 'Cuse in the finals? :D

We didnt really back out. We were waiting on a court ruling about playing X amount of exempted games and they strung us out and we had to go ahead and finalize our schedule.

If I remember correctly, my Cats did pretty well against Syracuse in the 1996 finals. We fear no-one...Unless we are playing football.

Except for UAB :dlol:

Yep, we lost to the CUSA co champions UAB. No excuses there. I bet you can look throughout history and find some Syracuse losses that were not glorius.

When you are UK and its "Basketball" season we make more news when we lose than when we win, as it is taken for granted that we are supposed to win every game. With football we do the opposite and cant fix the problem.

I wont give up but we are only looking at winning 1 maybe 2 football games this year. We only have 73 schlorships and its pretty rough playing anyone who has 85

Hey katman, know anything about Chris Lofton? If so, give us some insight.

I'm just messing with ya Katman. I respect UK's tradition and their loyal, usually respectful fans.

I watched Lofton play live at the Derby Classic. He was offered a chance to walk on at UK because we are loaded at his position and didnt need to burn a scholly on a guard. He is a very good three point shooter and pretty quick on his feet. I saw him at Bellarmine college the night before the derby classic and he won the 3 point contest. He isn't very big, but he plays hard. He will be a good player for UT. UK and UL passed on offering him but he is not a bad player.
