He can't hear you he's cleaning all the egg off his face. Gordon Gee is buried under pounds of egg.

Check out this quote from Schlabach's article:

Ohio State president E. Gordon Gee said he never considered firing Tressel.
"No, are you kidding me?" Gee said. "Let me be very clear. I'm just hoping the coach doesn't dismiss me."

Sounds like the Academic side is running the place to me, doesn't it you ?

Listening to sports radio here in Cincinnati has sucked since the news broke. I feel like a lot of us were pretty hard on Pearl when he screwed up. Everyone i've heard has been defending Tressel and saying he's not a scumbag like Pearl. Also, apparently Tressel has "credit" which means he should get away with it. I'm guessing by credit they meant something similar to "street cred." lol

I imagine by "credit" they mean a National Championship, multiple Big Ten Championships, and a handful of BCS appearances.

It's all about the money, yeah they look bad, but Tennessee's position is the same. Morals and doing the right thing take a back seat to money and this is probably true at every major university that have cash cow athletic programs. In this case though Ohio State isn't bothering to hide it and their buddies at Espn are keeping it as quite as possible for them.

It's funny how no one mentions that ESPN also has a decade-long billion dollar with the SEC.

Yeah but plenty of teams are good in the SEC, not so much in the Big Ten. They're protecting their investment because for the most part the Big Ten sucks.

Folks, we have a winner! Johnny tell this good man what he has won.....

Without the Suckeyes all the big 10 has now is a bunch of undeservedly cocky teams that haven't contended for quite some time. Heck, even osu cant contend outside the league most of the time. Can't sacrifice the standard bearer. I respect the whiz out of Paterno, but unfortunately he has become more of a side show attraction or a novelty. NOT A KNOCK ON JOE PA. It's just the way I see it.
