Where do you get yarn that is Tennessee Orange?
I can't tell looking at photos and have heard similar
stories that pics don't show the real color.
I want something nice, bulky, and washable.
AND TENNESSEE ORANGE.

Thank you

20 yrs from now if someone asks me "have you ever seen a knitting thread in a sports forum?" and can say "yes. once."

From the label on the yarn, I would see if they have a website or contact number and let them help you. You could try the Rit (dye) website and use their customer service email contact to see if they have a dye that color or if you could mix a few colors to get it.

Fun fact: I can knit and purl. When I was a missionary, I was very limited on what I could do at night for entertainment. No TV, no music, etc. and you have to be inside. We pretty much just hung out and played chess.

So I learned to knit. I made like 10 beanies and a few scarves. Haven't done it since, but I have much respect for the hobby.

Knitting is relaxing. It's a way to make something useful and sometimes pretty. It's a way to pass the time. And once you learn the basics, you don't have to think about it to do it successfully.

And beanies and scarfs are fun to make and give to friends.

I forgot you are (were) an LDS. Where were you sent on your mission.

*End hijack of knitting thread (pun intended)*

Nashville area, among the Spanish speaking community. It's not normal to go to an area you are familiar with. I grew up in east TN and moved out west in high school and that's where I was living when I got my "call". I had really mixed feelings because I wanted something crazy, like Tonga.

Uganda? 😆

I'm fascinated by the timeline and growth of the LDS. I have a coworker from Utah that got sent to Spain on his mission.
