We have to have the most fair weather fans it's really incredible. Patience is not a trait many Vol fans have, that's for sure.

If it was up to some of these people this university would be bankrupt. Give a coach 10 games and then can him if he doesn't look good. Hell I've seen some people saying butch isn't gonna make it...dude hasn't even coached a game.

Unbelievable.

Emotion aside, there are some glaring fundamental problems that give legitimate cause for concern.

1. If a player, or players in our case, can't handle the basketball, you don't have them handle the basketball, they move the ball by passing, not dribbling.

2. As bad as this team's handle is, their passing skills are almost as bad. Telegraphed, slow motion chest passes are the usual. No such thing as a bounce pass. No such thing as a pass fake.

3. No one uses a shot fake except when in the post. Terrible.

4. You decide to let your primary scorer handle the ball at the expense of his scoring. Josh Richardson is the better option for that role.

1. Then who do you have bring the ball up last night? I get your point, but we literally have nobody on the team who's an above average ball handler. (that's the coaches fault but that wasn't what you were addressing).

2. Agree here. The MO is play us tight outside, we telegraph those passes on the perimiter. Well, counter that now with a backdoor, yet I haven't seen one all year.

3. Agree on this as well.

4. McRae has better handles and much better vision than Richardson. Also, while I get you're point do you want Richardson exerting the energy playing point and also guarding the opposing teams best scorer? The team needs golden back, bad.

I guess losing games while having your two All-SEC players out on an already thin roster is inexcusable.

There are already people saying that Butch isn't going to get it done based on 2 months on the job, this recruiting class and no games coached at UT.

You can't fix stupid.

I'm sorry...i'll always be a vol fan and love the vols, but I've lost interest right now in vol basketball. I mean, i'll still watch them and root them on, but I haven't even cared they've lost their last 2 games. Call me bandwagon all you want, but this team is so hard to watch

I think Bruce spoiled us by winning games, even road games, when his team was undermanned. That's a rare ability and Cuonzo simply doesn't have it. So far, he hasn't been able to recruit well enough to overcome his shortcomings as a coach. When even a dullard like Mark Fox can outcoach you on your home court with his unimpressive roster, it's time to either step aside and make way for a better coach or go back to coaching school and learn how to win against mediocre competition. Losing to Georgia at home is just shameful.

All things that haven't been fixed, or even slightly improved over the course of the year.

THAT'S where my concern is. Any coach needs time, but I want to see progress.

lol. The coolest thing about Purdue and Painters contract is he makes almost double more in bonus money if Purdue makes the NIT instead of the NCAA tournament. To actually come out ahead in his bank account, he has to win a couple of NCAA tournament games to make it worth "his" while but could make pretty much the same just making the NIT. (NIT is a flat rate of almost 50,000 while the NCAA tournament is close to 25,000 with 2.5 increases for wins)
