We slowed it down due to field conditions and having another tackle out, but your right we can slow it down and still pass or speed it up. Our D is just tough, I had many on here say we couldn’t play that tough a D in up tempo. That is no true, but being able to go fast and slow does help and makes defending us even tougher. Folks are finding out there is more to Heupel than a all out passing attack, but teams will be wise to not underestimate it either. We can still fling it, and we can run it too! GBOWe have not been able to win big games without outscoring the opponent. We can now win a tight game with a defense that steps up. The offense intentionally slows it down when the D needs a rest. Complimentary football vs. trying to boat race everyone. Love it!
They definitely did in the beginning and then went away from it when it didn't work. Early 1st quarter from what I recall.I don’t know if anyone noticed it and maybe I’m wrong, but it looked like Oklahoma tried to run up-tempo, and it did not affect our defense at all. Another advantage of practicing against our offense.
