Embarrass? Sure thing. :D

LA's basketball team will probably get off to a slow start, since most of the starters are still playing football. DeKalb at least has that advantage early in the season.

DCHS huge win.

DCHS-80

Trousdale-61

Jake Nokes 26, Travis Woodward 18, Cody Randolph, 18 with 5 threes.

You could find all this and more in your local Tennessean on the third page of the sports section in big bold letters.

LA lost their Hall of Fame game against Lebanon, 81-77.

They were led in scoring by a Freshman... they're saying LA can go 9 or 10 deep this year, once Cates and Livingston get done playing football.

Livingston destroyed Pickett County tonight, 76-41... without the football boys and with 4 players fouling out.

It's a public school, but nice try.

"Academy" gets'em every time.

Every school in Overton County is under the jurisdiction of the overton Co. board of education with the exception of Livingston Academy. Many moons ago the high school in overton co. had alot of problems, so the state took control of every aspect of the school. They named it Livingston academy and not Overton Co. high school so the public would know that the school had no ties to the local board of education. LA is by all means a public high school. The previous response said LA was a state run school and they were right. Yes there are advantages to being a state run school like an unlimited budget. The same goes for York institute, they are public state runned schools. Please don't argue with me, my dad's chairman of the school borad. :biggrin2:
