The guys on SportTalk 102.3 out of Chattanooga were encouraging a What If scenario. If Red Bank (Gerald Rigg's old school) and Ooltewah both finish undefeated then they will host playoff games up to the finals. Red Bank would probably host Maryville and Ooltewah would host Dobbins-Bennett. They suggest playing a double header at Finley Stadium (UTC's home field) on a Saturday. That would be a great atmosphere! Of course the TSSAA would have to agree in addition to the schools and they thought this would be where the problems start. Oh well, great idea.

I don't like the way hosting of playoff games works. Dobyns-Bennett is undefeated this year. They shouldn't have to travel much in the playoffs. However, they will. I forget exactly how it works, but the hosts are somewhat predetermined before the season even starts. I dont think you should have to travel to play a team you beat in the regular season. I know DB didn't play Ooltewah in the regular season this year. However, we've had to travel to play teams we've already beaten. That's lame.

Maryville is undefeated again this year after spanking Lenoir City. There is no way in hell that they would have to travel to Red Bank for the first round of the playoff's. Red Bank will probably get the Central Bobcats in the first round of the playoffs.

I go to Pope John Paul II High School we are in Division II-AA. That is were Golden Tate goes to school.
I don't see how that really relates to the topic of the high school playoffs. But since you go to school with Golden Tate, how good of a player is he?

Well I think it relates since we are in the playoffs. He is simply AMAZING. Unbelievable vison, speed, illusiveness.

Records are not necessarily the deciding factor. Boyd Buchanan will host a first round game, they finished 3-7.

I thought that the top two seeds from each region hosted games the first two weeks. A 3-7 team hosting is hilarious. I bet there crown will be hyped for that game.:)

I knew Lenoir City would get killed by Maryville. We (CAK) beat Lenior City 28-7 in a scrimmage and we are a single A school playing in AA lol. But yeah CAK plays at South Greene, a rematch of last years 1st round game where the Warriors won 36-26.

I go to Gatlinburg-Pittman and we were going to have to play you guys first round but instead we get stuck playing Sweetwater....We'll host throughout since we went 10-0....I just hope that we didn't screw ourselves this year by only playing 1 team with a winning record and that being Midway
