Anyone catch any games tonight? I was at Maryville and Alcoa. Turned out to be a good game. Maryville held on 17-14.

Tyler Maples had 6 catches for 133 and 1TD. Brian Sommer had 2 catches for 38 yards and an interception in the endzone. Both of them played both ways, playing against each other at times.

Rae Sykes is a big kid.

I heard Harrison Smith had 3 TDs for Catholic tonight.

Smith's first two touches tonight resulted in 88 yards and 2 TDs, according to a report. Catholic won big, so he probably didn't get much playing time.

I don't think any of the starters played at tall in the second half of that game.

Brentwood Academy beat Ravenwood 36-35 in OT. Hell of a game.
BA's TB, Chris Johnson is a junior and is a MONSTER. He's 6-3 205, started on Georgia's 6A state championship team last year as a sophmore. He's probably the best player in Tennessee now.

Great article on the B.J. Coleman let McCallie comeback win over Riverdale. They were down 27-13 with 1:35 to go and won 33-27.

I heard them talking about Coleman on SportsTalk today and said he was a legit 6'5" 210 and could easily add 20-30 pounds. They feel like Tennessee got a steal. The int was off the receivers hands, should have been caught.

I saw Buchholz beat Eastside 7-0 in a battle of two Gainesville schools. It rained throughout the first half, and the muddy game looked like it would go to OT at 0-0. Buchholz, the home team, hit about a 30-yard pass to the 20 with about 47 seconds left. The winning TD pass came from 7 yards out, and it looked like an easy INT, but the defender didn't turn to the ball in time. Not too bad for my first Florida H.S. football experience.

Not too many this time, but it was a rainy night. Also, people who grew up down here seem to get cold very easily. I guess it would be like me going to Canada during the winter. I just find it funny when some people talk about how they want nothing to do with cold weather. One person went as far as to quip that she was once saw flurries and thought she was going to die.

Dyer County over Chester County 42-19. Flowers runs for 200+ again. this kid is amazing and yet he not being recruted by anyone big. He will be fun to watch again this year.

Saw Dobyns-Bennett beat Sullivan South 44-0. D-B has good team and Coty Sensabaugh looks like a D-1 player. His brother Gerald plays for Jacksonville. D-B has several other good players as well. South's QB Curt Phillips is a 6'3 210 junior and very ahtletic. I have heard the D-1 AA teams are starting to show up.

I played at Gallatin, probably before you were born. LOL We were good back then, won state championships and clinic bowls and such.

I played in the CAK Union County game last night. It was kind of a missmatch we went into the half leading 38-7 with their only scores on a kick off they had about 25 yads total offense. We played 2nd and 3rd stringers the whole second half and it eneded 38-20. Our runningback Derron Logan showed that he is a play maker with 80 yards rushing in just the first half and a 60 yard punt return for a TD. Our game with Alcoa will be on WMAK Channel 7 next week
