All SEC Final 4s in Men's and Women's Basketball. (If Texas is included)

Men's Alabama-Tennessee-Arkansas-Texas*
Women's South Carolina-Mississippi-LSU-Tennessee

Sports media would have a fit with this.

I’m not a Pat Forde fan at all but even I’d be sad seeing his head explode on national TV. Nobody deserves that fate.

Just wait until a 12 team CFP.
It absolutely cracks me up that the "solution" to deal with the SEC's dominance of the CFP is to expand it to 12 teams.

If you don't like a 4-team playoff with 2 SEC teams in it, man, you're really gonna hate a 12-team playoff with 5 or 6 SEC teams in it.

The funny thing is that Sankey is the one who spearheaded this thing to appease the other conferences, they backed off (looking at you Jim Philips ACC Commissioner) and now they’re all for it . They might get Clemson or maybe FSU moving forward, but that’s it.

12-team playoff is stupid, sorry---it's just more greed and commercialism of a type that is rampant in college athletics now. We just had a 4-team
playoff and the championship game was an embarrassing blowout--over after one quarter. So 12 teams is just adding games for more television and more money. The 12 seed is never going to win the championship, and neither is the 8 seed. It's just suckering crazy fans into watching more games. It's just like we see with the NFL adding a 17-game (ridiculous) and every sport expanding its playoffs to make more money. And conference expansion? One couldn't overstate how much I hate it. What, we'll have 16 teams in a year--and then after that 20? It's not even a conference, really, once you get past 12 teams. It's just a huge collection of schools that together expand the TV TEET that they can all suck on and bring a few more millions into the coffers. But scheduling will be a cluster-f--k every year and programs will want to raise a banner when they come in 5th. Rant...over!

I’ll disagree. I have no problem trying a different method of a postseason for college football. For all of the great things about college football, the postseason is atrocious and has been forever. I think with a 12 team CFP you’re going to get more good matchups on college campuses, and that to me is the best part of it. I love the idea of Neyland hosting a CFP game against a Penn State or USC or even traveling to a big time venue. I do see your point about last years title game, but in a 12 team CFP I have serious doubts TCU makes it that far. I think my biggest gripe w/ the current/future 12 team CFP is the seeding process. If the future rules were implemented last season Clemson would’ve been the #3 seed. That’s awful. The ACC overall was/is awful. I think that needs to be figured out. I agree w/ conference expansion. I miss common sense conferences, and it feels like we’re trending towards an AFC vs NFC style of college football.

There would never be 5-6 sec teams. 4 at most. And 3 would be the usual

Although there will be 5-6 SEC teams deserving inclusion, the committee will keep it at 3-4. Bama, uga, and the VOLS are yearly locks with one of LSU/Oklahoma/breakout team in the mix. They’ll want to include Penn St for losing to Mich and Ohio for 3 big 10 teams. Clemson/FSU for the ACC. USC/Oregon/Utah from the west coast. Then they’ll be happy to add Coastal Carolina or Navy or Notre Dame as a cinderella.
