hillary says it's political.

I don't doubt it was political in some form or fashion. I just don't know what his politics were.

Further, I have no idea how he formed whatever political views he had.

the fact is that she shouldn't say that. I know she's in England and has to play to the left there but it is poor judgement to say it's political with no evidence.

Basically I derrived that the English language was trapping us, listener.

I don't see why she shouldn't say it.

The fact that it was a political target and his past encounters with Giffords were political in nature is evidence that it was political.

Unfortunately killing a politician is probably the surest way currently available to gain widespread notoriety. For some people that's probably enough. Beyond that it likely doesn't really matter who the target is but if that's the plan you may as well make it somebody you have a preexisting grudge against.

i think it more towards her, not her politics. if this guy had some fascination with her it might not of made any difference whether she was a dem or republican. I think hillary is echoing what her left wing media friends are saying.

How could killing a politician at a political event not be seen as being an overt act of political violence? Whether by a right wing extremist or a liberal malcontent, the murder was political.

I don't have a problem with this statement, it is factual. As to her comparing a single mentally unstable individual with a political grudge to the problems the world faces with muslim extremists I think it is a stretch and a very poor comparisson.

Maybe he wanted to impress an actress, rather than make a political statement?

Probably political, though.

the same way that blowing up the super bowl wouldn't be a football event, even if a disgruntled conference title game losing fan did it.

Have you ever wondered if there was no Jodie Foster would there still be a John Lennon and maybe a Beatles reunion? I know it sounds crazy but maybe she was the trigger and if he had never watched a Jodie Foster movie he would not have found that trigger with another actress. Anyways, I digress.
