I'm a WKU alum ... and I know its the Sun Belt ... and I know that WKU couldn't compete in the SEC ... and I know that this is the football team that lost to UK at the beginning of the year.

But ... They are finally a winning football team ....

5-4 on the season, 4-1 in the Sun Belt. Beat FIU yesterday 10-9 on a last second field goal ... the same FIU team that went to Louisville and blasted them earlier in the year. The team is growing up and it would not surprise me if they finish up 7-5, with the remaining loss coming at the hands of LSU for their homecoming.

I'm a true V4L ... but I sure am might proud of my Hilltoppers!

They started off pretty rough, didn't they? Good for the Hilltoppers on that kind of a turnaround.

They started off 0-4 ... and now have rattled off 5 straight. We live and die by the RB Bobby Rainey. If WKU could get a half decent quarterback on board, they could do something very impressive. Their defense has been SPECTACULAR to say the least.

Over the past few weeks they have simply found a way to win. I'm excited to see what next season brings. For a non-BCS school, they are doing well to load up on this (for the stargazers) 3* talent!

Their last 3 are tough but quite a turnaround after their 0-4 start, and an embarrassing loss to an FCS team. Weren't they 0-12 not long ago?

'90 WKU alum... very proud of them. Would be great if they got bowl eligible.

Wow, I thought they were finished after the FCS loss.

As did I ... This team is playing with a ton of heart right now. Indiana State came into Bowling Green and dominated the game in every facet.

From 2-10 to 7-5 would be miraculous. WKU is bringing in talent with wonderful facilities and the ability to play early. Taggart is doing a wonderful job.

WKU alum here as well, and this town is pretty amped up right now. First time in a long time there has been excitement around the program like this.

I just hope everyone comes home healthy from the trip to LSU. No delusions of victory or such, just bring everyone home with no injuries so they can finish strong on the season.

I like LB Andrew Jackson, dude is a beast on the field!! A guy I grew up with and looked up to played DB up there and coach Taggert was his position coach.
