Robert Meachem will overtake the single season record for most recieving yards at UT!! He's only about 20-30 yards shy of Nash's current record!

Way to go Meach! Go VOLS!:dance2:

That will really be a kick in the crotch considering he will probably leave for the NFL, meaning that we got one good year out of him. I think Nash and Kent had multiple 1,000 yard seasons.

Agreed. Just think what he could have accomplished doing this from Day 1.

I don't see him leaving early. He still doesn't have enough on his resume to make the big bucks that causes big time players to leave. And I believe this years WR draft will be deep.

Pat hasn't had enough time to ruin the wideouts. He's only been there a year.
I always felt that Pat got shafted. Ask Peerless Price, Ced Wilson, Donte Stallworth, Eric Parker, Joey Kent, Marcus Nash, David Martin if he knew anything about developing wide recievers!!

Given that Parker and Martin hardly ever got the ball at UT, I doubt they would spend much time praising Pat.

If Martin had given in and played Tight End like they convinced him to do in the NFL . . . .

Maybe so . . . I just checked and he is up to 265 lbs. He is nowhere near the guy that played WR for us.

Martin was a posession receiver at UT in the mode of aAndy McCollough, Bobby Graham and he was valuable at his role.

Eric Parker played in 98 and 99 behind Price and Wilson. Plus with J. Lewis and T. Henry, UT was a running team. Tee Martin didn't have the gaudy passing stats of, say, Peyton Manning.

Man I hope that was a joke. Pat Washington ruined one of the best wide receiver classes in the country. You saw what the trio of Robert Meachem, Jayson Swain, and Bret Smith did in one year with a competent receiver coach. I can only imagine what they could have accomplished if they had four years with Troop.

And by the way Eric Parker has been quoted as saying he learned more in the NFL on his first day than he did his entire career from Pat Washington. Washington was easily one of the worst position coaches in the country.
