Who do you guys think have any chance, whether it be good, great, or slim to none, to make the HOF?

Manning- no question
Witten- still more to prove
Mayo- just getting started

Jmo on a few of them. As far as former Vols who are no longer in the league, anyone got a chance? Jamal Lewis? What do you guys think of him and any others who come to mind?

Jam might have a tough time making it in. Manning seems like the only sure bet right now. Witten could join the discussion if Dallas starts winning more, or he keeps playing for a long while and keeps his status as best all-around te in the league.

I thought that about Witten as well. I know it's a team game but with the lack of playoff wins/SBs, I think this may hurt his chances. Still needs a few more seasons with gaudy numbers to help his chances. Not bad for a former D-lineman.

Any thoughts on Clifton anyone? Just a couple of pro-bowls but has protected the blindside of 2 pretty good qbs.

wouldn't he need to be given that status in order to keep it?

I've heard it more than a few times...

I hate to geek out since I'm not a fantasy football guy, but Witten has the number one dynasty ranking, has earned more fantasy points than any other TE in the League this season, #1 in receiving yards by a TE, 8 receiving TD's, highest FF ADP in '09, etc. and as long as I've been paying attention to the NFL, he is referred to as the only elite receiving TE who is also a truly elite blocker.

Nobody can do all the aspects of what a TE is supposed to do like Witten.

Im agreeing with Manning being the only sure bet right now. Would be awesome to see EB have a career getting him in, but wayyyyy to early to tell and he has a good bit of work to do. The only others that I think even come close, but still don't get in would be John Henderson and Jason Allen.

That said, even if he keeps producing at the level he has, he's still probably going to need to make it to the SB to get in.

No offense but what has Jason Allen done to be HOF worthy?

IDK about HOF but I've always thought Terry McDaniel gets lost in the shuffle in lots of UT fan's minds. Besides being a great player for us (earned himself a #9 pick overall in '88) he played 11 NFL seasons (10 with the Raiders, 1 as a Seahawk) and made 5 Pro Bowls. That's solid to say the least.

35 picks, 3 sacks, and 8 tds if the stats I looked at were accurate.
