Course I'm biased but I think it was the best decade to grow up in...no wars, we didn't deal with terrorism, and there was no recession.
Of the top 15 films from that decade, 12 of the 15 have or will have a sequel.
Of the top 15 highest-grossing films of that decade, just three to date have not been given a sequel or prequel or turned into a franchise: “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,” “Tootsie” and “Rain Man.”

Top Gun II starring Tom Cruise will be filming starting next year.

The storyline to this picture should be interesting after 30 something years.

I would guess it'll just be a top gun remake with subtle differences. Young hot shot pilot that can be the best if he can overcome his personal struggles. Tom cruise is an instructor similar to Tom skerrit.

How much cruise is in the movie I'm not sure. Probably Not the main character. normally I'd think it would be a large role at least, but for some reason I was thinking cruise previously said he would be in a sequel only if he played a minor role.

I would have loved to have seen a Les Grossman film :)

Can I get a Running Man remake, please? But **** the usual suspects for the starring role. Maybe Steve Howey?

The complete 50s and 60s for me.

We had all the good cartoons & Western movies to watch on Saturday mornings TV w/the Beatles coming in '63 along w/the British invasion w/their music.

My dad grew up then (born in 1950), says he wouldn't trade it for nothing.

I think I speak for everyone when I say it's a damn shame we never got to see a Tootsie trilogy.
