I think there is a town just north of Atlanta that is trying to pass an ordinance REQUIRING residents to own a gun. Not sure what the latest is on this but it was in the news last year. Sounds like both sides going a little overboard on the issue.

They were trying to do that in Kennesaw when I was in college (a while back).

Just pay your dues, and HOA's really have very little authority..They'll have the managemnt company write some warning letters, that's it..

yeah, the HOA will have a hard time overriding a little thing called the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution. Especially since the recent case in DC affirms that the 2nd Amendment protects the right of the individual to own a firearm.

The DC case doesn't reaffirm anything. It was an appeals court decision that means it will go up to the Supreme Court next.

DC is always treated differently by the Constitution. It will be interesting to see how SCOTUS decides this case.

HOA's are idioic anyway. As long as you keep up your property what does it matter? You shouldn't have someone else telling you what kind of curtains to hang or what kind of mailbox you can have.

That would be Kennesaw . . . where the Atlanta sprawl begins and everybody is packing heat.
