Am considering a generator purchase. Other than the price, the Honda EU2200 seems like a no brainer. I see Yamaha, Westinghouse, Generac and Wen competitors are cheaper (sometimes considerably cheaper) but not as highly rated.

Use would be back up for short (day or two) power outages and occasional outdoor (camping, picnic, tailgate).

Have at it VN

How often do you have outages?

How long do they usually last?

If you’re backing up a freezer, how much food is at risk?

I think of generators as a form of insurance, so a lot depends on the types and severity of risk you’re insuring against. (We’re considering one too.)

outages maybe 4 times a year. Typically not more than a day.

not too much frozen food at risk - just typical fridge stuff. Need power to work as well.

Champion or Generac. Both are a better value.

Check the Ryobi 2200 one. We have two we use for linking together or use just one for tailgating. Both for same price as one Honda and work perfect.

I have the Honda EU2200....use it primarily for tailgating.....we had the opportunity recently to use it during an extended power outage and it powered 2 refrigerators and an upright freezer. If you are wanting it for additional power usage, obviously you would need to calculate the required power consumption to ensure you get one big enough.
we really like it because it is extremely quiet which is nice when tailgating. Nothing like having to talk loudly at a tailgate to overcome the decibels from a loud generator. Others around us have the Yamaha and it is similarly quiet. Some of the others are not so quiet but that may not be important to you.

I have 2 harbor freight predator 3500w inverter generators i use for my 5th wheel. I connect them with a parallel kit and can run everything including 2 a/c's, coffee pot, wife's blow dryer, etc. Get a lot of comments about how quiet they are. I've had them for 2 seasons and cannot be more satisfied with the quality! Running about $600 each right now if you're a harbor freight member.
