Hooker's show is all right. Decently informative, relatively entertaining, but nothing special. He doesn't seem to have any opinions or insight that are unique. But compared to the worthless tripe and the "we're pretending to care about ut sports for a paycheck, but would rather talk about anything else, be it baseball, basketball, television shows, etc., so long as it's a national topic and we can pretend we're national hosts" mindset of the competition, he sounds like a superstar. I still miss the antics and liveliness of Basilio at his best (which I rarely hear when I switch over to him these days), but Hooker is a decent way to kill time while driving.
For the guy who complained about Hooker laughing at his own jokes, have you ever heard that John Wilkerson guy? I can't bear to even listen to him. He'll doesn't even have jokes. He'll just make a somewhat light-hearted remark and then just absolutely guffaw at it. He does it every time I hear him and it is extremely annoying.
