Honest Impression of Dave Hooker Show?

Hooker's show is the weakest portion of the TSR weekday lineup, if you ask me. His annoying attempts to stir interest in topics, his chuckling at his own lines, the contrived relationship between DH and Darago...it's pretty frustrating for me to listen to.

Know what I'd like to see happen? Have a complete all-sports news segment that follows the EA Show, and that ends with the start of the CBJ press conferences. Air Butch's comments in their entirety with minimal interruption, and then have a little post-conference commentary before starting into Treece's show. Furthermore, make it the Treece AND Phillips show; Steve should be in that role permanently and get equal billing.

As for Hooker, let him play the role of lead interviewer/reporter/correspondent. Maybe he'd annoy me less then.

While we're talking improvements for TSR, how about getting a more mature voice to accompany Ainge and kinda calm him...keep him on target, you might say?

I dont like Treece's show too much cause he's constantly talking about his playing days and "back then we did it this way"

Treece played in a total of 17 games as a Vol over two years. For his career he had 12 total tackles. I'm not sure why his career was only two years but to hear him talk about his days as a player he was all SEC. Honestly I don't remember him playing.

All I recall about his senior year was the Secondary was horrible, and he didn't start.

I turn it off when Hooker comes on. That Andrew cat has about as much personality as a doorknob. Dave seems to try really hard to make up for his lifelessness and thus becomes annoying. Plus there's a lot of fluff and not much substance. Just my opinion.

Basilio: By far the worst host in Knoxville. No show prep, only knows how to throw out what he thinks is a controversial topic and then plays to the same 10 callers who have an average IQ of about 75. TB has no contacts, no insight, which is why he is now on a station with slightly better range than a CB radio.

Doc, Jeff, and Heather: Heather makes the show impossible to listen to. She is the least knowledgeable host on the air and she. never. shuts. up. Jeff is a blow hard who apparently played too many games without a helmet. Callers are terrible and include a daily farm report from Coalfield.

Hooker: a slightly smarter version of Basilio. No real insight but at least he has a few contacts.

Ainge: gives great insight into game plans, schemes, play calling, audibles, etc. His co-host gets him off topic too much and needs to be replaced. The middle school humor takes away from the show.

Swain: the best of the group. Gives good insight and tries to be more professional than the rest of them. Treece is a better co-host and has a hard time carrying a show.

I spend way too much time in my car.
