1) I've been dropping excuses for Dobbs up until yesterday but not anymore. O-Line did their part and gave him time. He was throwing against a depleted Vandy Secondary and still managed two picks and a good number of bad throws. I'm interested to see how he does with some time this offseason and vs. Ferguson.

2) The defense did their part

3) I wasn't impressed with our gameplan. First game this year that I think the coaches may have cost us the game. That being said, I think the coaches put us in a position to win vs UGA and also were the main reason we beat USCjr. I think they were playing it a little safe.

4) The 'controversial' call had no controversy about it. Vandy definitely got that first down.

5) I don't think we lose a bunch of guys in the recruiting class. Anyone coming to UT has to understand that losses go hand and hand with early playing time.

6) Sad that we won't get the December practices. Butch needs a solid finish at Kentucky and a solid finish to the recruiting class to keep this fanbase pumped up through the offseason.

truth be told, it might be blessing to lose as many seniors as we do. Not that they didnt try or anything just that with our new bunch of recruits coming in and a "easier" schedule we could see a team has alittle more fight in it. as opposed to one used to getting beat in close games. maybe

1. Agree, I did too. Hope Riley is the real deal. Real concerns about Dobbs.

2. Except for last drive.... no excuse for allowing a 92 yd drive to Vandy. None!

3. Agreed. However, last 3 game plans were bad. Game plan vs Bama didn't matter.

4. Agree 1000%. Got it easily, not close.

5. Concerned about Malone now after Dobbs' performance and the offense as a whole. It was awful.

6. Gonna be sad after Ky game IMO.

We'll lose to Ky now. Team will be deflated. Not being able to beat the Vanderbilt Commodores with 2 weeks to practice and a bowl on the line is simply sad. Complete failure on the part of this bargain staff.

Good luck to the seniors and Tiny, but we need a fresh start. Extra practices with players who do not necessarily fit CBJ's system, will not help any. Let's beat KY and look forward to February.

If they can't come up with a winning scheme in two weeks for Vandy how are they going to do it in a week for KY ?

I was wondering if anybody caught that in Jones post game comments. His comments about North's loss in the first quarter mad it seem as though we were really short handed at wr.

Subliminal msg to Malone.

Good post.

I agree with you regarding good post.

3. I trusted the coaches decisions and feel like crap this morning. It is my problem I know that I have to listen to Vandy fans for a year, but I can't even state to them in all honesty that they didn't deserve to win this game because the played so poorly. Nor can I state with a straight face any viable excuses that would have made a difference. All at work.

I have the patience of Job, but I would have rather had the walk softly and carry a big stick theory versus the over the top sell of writing checks that the bank can't cash.

That OL and our running game couldn't get one yard on a big 3rd down. I've felt like for some time they checked out early mentally and have had one foot in the NFL already. So I am ready to see them go.

I will be glad it is over, losing to vandy is the bottom of the barrow,
losing to ky is a crime, we need to find a future qb somewhere, sign speed, and let time take care of itself.
5-7 next year at the best , so more of the same, but look for improvement.

Hey dumbasses Dobbs had a rushing TD that was called back. The coaches gave up on him. Also the defense failed again letting Vandy drive the ball down for a score with less than two minutes left in the game.
